Mindfulness with Davina Fear

Davina Fear and I know each other from way back, I believe 2005 was when we first met. For this interview, Davina and I chatted about how photographers and other event people can find more balance in their life and their business.

What if we are already enough?
Stop comparing and start appreciating the awesomeness in your own life!
Each family has it’s own connecting points, ways we let our loved ones know they are loved.

My favorite point that Davina brings up is gratitude. We need to have gratitude for what we do have, the things we accomplish, the time we do spend with family and friends and appreciate ourselves. Once we can get in a place of gratitude, everything else gets easier. We stop comparing ourselves and start seeing our lives for what they truly are. I don’t know about you but I have a hard time appreciating myself and if we can’t appreciate ourselves, how do we give to others?

If you are a photographer and want to have Davina help you discover your awesomeness and grow your business your way, then schedule a consult with Davina.

Here is that book that Davina mentions that she does with her kids each night.
Q&A a Day for Kids: A Three-Year Journal

If you are into meditation, this is one of my favorite recordings. Ang Sang Wahe Guru (A Sikh Mantra for Invoking Inner Bliss)is a gratitude mantra. I listen to it almost every morning when I meditate.

Think about connecting points you have with your friends, your loved ones even your clients. Appreciate that those things are probably different from other people but it makes you who you are and what makes you special. We would love to hear some of the ways you connect.
